Marseille's Old Port calm after 2nd night of fan trouble

MARSEILLE, France (AP) — Marseille's memorable Old Port was occupied yet quiet on Saturday morning, a day after police more than once let go poisonous gas at boisterous, smashed soccer fans.

Remainders of broken brew bottles stayed on the cobbled lanes of the port and porches were stuffed with fans in front of Saturday night's European Championship match amongst England and Russia at the Stade Velodrome.

UEFA has rehashed its speak to fans to act, saying it is "certain that the wellbeing of voyaging fans will be guaranteed by the neighborhood powers which are in charge of request in the city."

Jean Patrick Berbera was dashing to introduce additional security screens to his store in the Old Port range.

He says French police "did their employments, in any case, well, it kind of commenced a common war at the port the previous evening."
