Envision owning an Amazon Echo, just it was in robot frame and could perform undertakings like amusing children or watching seniors.
On Tuesday, tech organization disclosed the Zenbo home robot, a $599 tech sidekick equipped for meandering your home and helping clients with solicitations from sharing formulas by voice to controlling the lights or ventilating.
The Zenbo was uncovered amid the tech gathering Computex in Taiwan. "Our aspiration is to empower mechanical registering for each family," said Asus Chairman Jonney Shih in an announcement.
he robot's face doubles as a touchscreen users can tap or swipe for a variety of tasks, but it can also respond to voice commands. It also plays music, respond to questions, take pictures or make video calls and even tell stories to kids.
Asus did not say when Zenbo would launch, but is appealing to developers to create apps or services compatible with the home robot.
The announcement arrives at a time when tech companies are making a huge push toward creating home products like the Amazon Echo. Earlier this month, Google unveiled the Home speaker paired with an assistant that can field questions and offer reminders. Last week, according to tech site The Information, Apple is also working on a Echo-like device compatible with Siri.
